How to Unlock iPhone 4 Gevey sim iOS 5.1.1 No service

Unlocking using gevey sim interposer can be challenging on some stubborn iPhones and my iPhone 4 is one of them. I was trying unlocking it using gevey sim running iOS 5.1.1 having baseband 04.10.01 but was not getting service. I tried every method but it was all a vain attempt.

Normally, you unlock your iPhone 4 using gevey sim by method described by ApplenBerry which can be found here but on some iPhones it doesn't work. Here's how I got it working. I have tried this method over 10 times and it worked out every time. If you are not getting your iPhone 4 unlocked, try this method. It might work out for you as well.

Note: This procedure will not work on basebands higher than 4.10.01

Step 1: Turn off your iPhone and take out the sim card.

Step 2: Insert the sim card in along with gevey interposer.

Step 3: Turn on your iPhone. As soon as it turns on, a black message will appear. Just hit Accept.

Step 4: Your phone will go into searching and then all of sudden it will show No service.

Step 5: [You need to be quick on this step] Wait for 15 seconds and then dial 112 and end the call after 2-3 seconds and then immediately go to settings and turn on the Airplane mode.

Step 6: Wait for 10-15 seconds and turn off the airplane mode. Your iPhone will again show searching... and then it will go into 'No service.'

Step 7: Now just take out the sim card then put it back in and wait for a minute. Voila! your iPhone will get unlocked.
