How to mute/unmute iPhone without Volume switch
Got a broken volume button and are unable to mute/unmute your iPhone? Well, if you live with your iPhone around the world of jailbreaking then you will be excited to know that this problem can be solved without any hardware modifications.
There is no such application available on the Appstore than can mute or ummute your iPhone but Cydia store does have it. So the only thing you need is to have a jailbroken device.
Go to Cydia and search for SilentMode Switcher and purchase it which is capped at the price of $1.00 only.
After installation, go to Settings >> SilentMode Switcher and adjust the settings according to your taste. You can also turn off the speaker icon appearing on the status bar.
The default action to mute or unmute is by tapping the clock area twice. However you can change the default action from Activator.
Here I have set the activator as whenever I will shake the device, silentmode switcher will get activated. You can set the action whichever is more convenient to you.
This cydia tweak is intended for the users having broken volume switch. It disables the hardware switch and thus you don’t need to get your iPhone repaired.
